Places to work from
Yugawara's desks are a free room in the park, a café by the station with a booth for calls, and a lounge with a bath. One stop away, Manazuru has bookable rooms. Odawara Labo, by Odawara Station, stays open later.
By the station
Start here when the day begins early, or when you need a door that closes for a call.
- Yugawara Cafe
- 9:00–17:00, no regular closing day. The quiet work area is ¥300 an hour plus a drink. The one-person booth, for calls, is ¥500 an hour plus a drink. A minute from the station.
- Ekimae no Ibasho
- Free, with wifi and power, and open to anyone. Open days vary. It is a shared room, so keep a call short. 5-1-13 Doi.
Man'yō Park and a bath
The free desks are a bus ride into the park. The lounge with a bath is a day pass.
- Genkan Terrace
- The café at Yugawara Soyu Books and Retreat (湯河原惣湯), a short walk from Manyōtei (万葉亭). Free to come in. About 20 seats and wifi, 10:00–17:30, closed the 2nd Tuesday. The open room is shared, so keep a call short and book the meeting room when the call is the point of the visit. Bus from stop 2 to Ochiai-bashi, about 10 minutes.
- Ofurocafé Hitoma
- Bath and lounge ¥1,280 on weekdays, ¥1,580 at weekends and on holidays, plus bathing tax. Baths 11:00–17:00. Desks, outlets and wifi in a shared lounge, so keep a call short. 742 Miyakami.
- Yugawara Town Library
- Free wifi, 9:30–18:00. Closed Mondays, the 1st of the month, and the day after a national holiday. Outlets are only at the priority PC seats. A few minutes from the station.

Along the line
When you want a room with a door, or a desk that stays open after the park closes.
- Gekkōdō, Manazuru
- One stop up the line. 10:00–18:00, ¥300 an hour. The meeting room, for a call, is ¥500 an hour. 451-10 Manazuru.
- Community Manazuru
- Monday, Wednesday, Friday and Saturday, 10:00–16:00. Book ahead. 504-1 Manazuru.
- Odawara Labo
- By Odawara Station, 2-1-21 Sakae-chō, 3rd floor. Coworking is ¥500 an hour, 10:00–22:00, every day, with wifi and power. The private room is ¥2,000 an hour, for up to 10 people, and is set up for a remote meeting. A ¥30,000 monthly plan is on the price list as one they have yet to open.
