Coworking and wifi in Yugawara
Yugawara has two free places to work with wifi, a bath-and-lounge day pass with desks and outlets, and a library that lets visitors in. Here's each one, with the details you need.
Free places to work
Start with these two. Both are free, both have wifi, and you can walk in.
- Genkan Terrace, Yugawara Soyu
- In Man'yō Park, the front building of Yugawara Soyu. About 20 seats, free wifi, no booking, and a free foot bath outside. There's a café, and a meeting room with a projector you can book. Printing ¥10 a page at the desk. 10:00–17:30; closed the 2nd Tuesday. Bus from stop 2 at the station to Ochiai-bashi, about 10 minutes.
- Ekimae no Ibasho
- A free community space by the station, with wifi and power outlets, open to anyone. The building won a Good Design Award in 2024. Open days vary, so look at their calendar. It's busy and noisy after school, so come in the morning for quiet. 5-1-13 Doi.
A desk with a bath
For a whole day out, the day pass at Ofurocafé Hitoma, inside The Ryokan Tokyo Yugawara, gets you the baths and a lounge with a coworking area, wifi, outlets, free drinks and about a thousand books. They lend desk lamps and tablet stands.

The library
Yugawara Town Library, a few minutes from the station, has free wifi in its study corner and lets you work on a laptop. Outlets are only at the priority PC seats. If you're staying the night in Yugawara you can get a card too. 9:30–18:00; closed Mondays, the 1st of the month and the day after a national holiday.

One stop away: Manazuru
For a booked desk or a monthly plan, Manazuru is one stop up the line. Gekkōdō is a shared office at ¥300 an hour, with a meeting room and monthly plans. Community Manazuru opens Monday, Wednesday, Friday and Saturday, 10:00–16:00. Both have wifi; book ahead.
