About Sansuirou
Sansuirou sits where the bus line ends, at the head of the Oku-Yugawara valley. It opened in 1933 as a restaurant inn, and food is still the centre of a stay: seasonal kaiseki at dinner, served in a private dining room, and house-made yuba at breakfast.
The rooftop bath, Ōzora, is the reason many people book. It is a long open-air pool of spring water with nothing but green hills in front of it. There is also a small private bath filled with mikan, a drinks corner, and a spa.
Come on the Oku-Yugawara bus and ride it to the last stop. Cross the Baien bridge in front of you and the ryokan is straight ahead.
