Shiroyamakan is an onsen inn two minutes from the station, known until recently as Shiroyama Bekkan, and its detached annex is rented as a whole house. A gate off the street leads up stone steps to three bedrooms, a garden and a half-open-air bath fed from the hot spring.
It sleeps up to 12, so it's made for a group of friends or a family reunion. It isn't set up for children under 12. Check in from 15:00. The shops, restaurants and trains are all a couple of minutes away. For one or two people, the inn's own rooms, Watarifune, Benkei and Tsubaki, can be booked separately.
