A day-long town festival by the sea: sixteen food trucks, taiko drums, a puzzle rally and bouncy castles for kids, and the chance to sit in real construction machines.

About the event
Yugawara Fes is the town's young business owners throwing a party at the seaside park. Sixteen food trucks line up, including the festival's own snack, the Yuffle. There's taiko drumming, a puzzle rally with prizes (¥300), bouncy castles (¥200 a go), and diggers and other construction machines kids can climb into.
Entry is free, and it goes ahead in rain. The park's car park is closed for the day, so leave the car at the town hall and take the free shuttle bus from Yugawara Station. It runs every 15 minutes from 9:30, with the last bus back at 17:25.
