Onyado MegumiStart with a soak all together in Ginga, Megumi's private open-air bath, or let the little ones loose in Dōan, the playroom. Babies are welcome in the large baths too.

Pizza at Saluté
SalutéTake the bus from Risōkyō down to Yugawara Station (about 6 minutes) and walk four minutes to Saluté: pizza, pasta and homemade cake, with a lift from the car park, so it's easy with a pushchair.

Man'yō Park and Genkan Terrace
Genkan TerraceBack on the bus toward Oku-Yugawara, get off at Ochiai-bashi. Walk the stream paths in the park, cross the little bridges, and stop at Genkan Terrace for mandarin juice and a doughnut. It's free to go in, and it's indoors if it rains.

Kogome no Yu
Kogome no YuA short walk uphill to the town's own day bath. Children are welcome, and there's a free tatami room to rest in afterwards. It's closed on Mondays.

Back to Megumi
Getting aroundFrom Kōen-iriguchi, take a bus back down to Risōkyō, a few stops away, and you're home in time for dinner.

Children's rates
Ryokan price children by meals and bedding. Tell Megumi your children's ages when you book, and ask for the baby bed in Tachibana if you need one.
If it rains
Genkan Terrace and Kogome no Yu are both indoors. Take a taxi between stops to keep everyone dry.
On a Monday
Kogome no Yu is closed. Spend longer in the park and book a second private bath at Megumi instead.
