Day trip · train and bus · lunch and a bath

A day in Yugawara.

Lunch near the station, a bus up to Man’yō Park, and an afternoon soak at Kogome no Yu. It keeps the coast and the hikes for another day, so there’s time to enjoy the bath.

Good to know

Good to know.

If it rains

Skip the park walk and linger over lunch and in the bath. Take the bus or a taxi between stops.

On a Monday

Kogome no Yu is closed. Go to Miyakami no Yu instead: it opens at 7:00 and has private baths. Children of primary school age and younger can only use the private baths there.

Want a longer afternoon?

Swap Kogome no Yu for Soyu Terrace in Man’yō Park: a quiet design spa with a sauna and library. The no-meal plan is ¥3,500 for three hours from 14:00. Book ahead; it’s for ages 12 and up.
