Surf lessons · Yoshihama Beach
Surf lessons at Yoshihama Beach with a pro surfer and her father: a one-day course for first-timers, small groups of up to five, and a pickup from Yugawara Station.

Yoshihama is Yugawara's surf beach, and HANA is the easiest way to try it. The school is run by Rika Shoji, a JPSA-certified pro surfer, and her father Yoshiyuki, an NSA-certified instructor. Groups are five people at most.
Start with the one-day course if you've never surfed or can't stand up yet. After that there's a step-up course, and one-to-one coaching with video for surfers who can already ride along a wave.
They'll pick you up from Yugawara Station, so it works without a car. Book online or through their LINE; the phone is rarely answered. The school doesn't rent boards or wetsuits outside lessons.
