Surf shop and lessons · Yoshihama Beach
A surf shop ten metres from Yoshihama Beach, run by shaper and competitive surfer Toshio Munemasa, with board sales, gear, and beginner-to-advanced lessons.

MARBLE sits closer to the water than anywhere else on Yoshihama Beach, ten metres off the sand. Owner Toshio Munemasa surfs competitively and shapes his own boards under the M.Sticks name; the shop carries international surf brands alongside his own.
The one-day beginner lesson includes board and wetsuit rental, coached under ISA and NSA guidance in small groups. There's a step-up course for surfers who've done the beginner lesson already, and coaching tailored to more experienced surfers.
Book by email or phone at least a week ahead; they'll ask your height and weight to size a wetsuit. Bring a towel, swimwear, and beach sandals. Lessons are run in Japanese, and the school asks that participants understand Japanese and that children be past the early primary grades.
